Summer is flying by like usual. I really hate that is goes by so fast. There is still so much we want to do before the (dreaded word) Winter comes! The summer months are by far WAY too short. Here is a recap of what we have been up to.
Zane, Caleb, and I all journeyed down to Lake Powell for a week! It was awesome! The only hard thing was leaving Emma behind. I just couldn't take her down there in 104 degree weather. For some reason...it just didn't sound like she or I would have fun. We left her with my sister Jill in Utah. The anticipation of leaving her was the worst!!! I called Jill about everyday for two weeks making sure she was ok to watch her and also to see that she had everything she needs to watch a 10 month old. I'm sure I drove Jill NUTS! The time came and left like that! Soon we were in Lake Powell soaking up the sun and getting fried! Here are a few pics of our adventure:
So many pictures I had to create a collage.
The house boat.
Lake Powell and it's beauty!
Dang...it was HOT!!!!
We really had a great time! After 6 days Zane, Caleb, and I headed back to SLC to pick up Emma. We were so excited to see her. After 7 hours in the car, we were finally there! Once we picked her up, we didn't stop...on to Park City we went! My parents arranged for my brother and two sisters to get together and stay at Park City for a week in a condo. It was great! On Sunday, we went to Temple Square to listen to the spoken word. It was fun to be all together...even though we REALLY missed our parents.
Here are so photos of our time there:

My 3 siblings and their kids plus us
All of the grand kids! Ranging from 16 years old down to 10 months

I know I have posted most of these individually but I still wanted to post them.
Awe...couldn't resist...she's just too photogenic!
We spend the 4th of July in Park City as well. We enjoyed a day full of activities, including a parade, swimming, and an evening of Fireworks.
4th of July Fun!
Caleb with his cousins.
The next day we spent the day at Hogle Zoo. I love that zoo!
An assortment of animals
Talking Parakeet
We even attended a bird show in which this little birdie shown above took flight right out of the zoo! They had to cancel the show and try to find it. 3 hours later they still hadn't caught it.
We decided to cut our trip a bit short so we could get home for Caleb's Birthday! He turned 4 this year and I really just can't believe we have a 4 year old. He is a great kid and loved every minute of his birthday.
Don't laugh...I know it's hideous! He really wanted a Dinosaur Train cake so I did my best.
After all the celebrations we took Caleb to Cars 2 in 3D! I didn't realize at the time that Caleb had on the adult 3D glasses...I made the trade after this pictures.
It has been a fabulous month or two. We are so grateful for such wonderful families to do things with. I really love the summer time and the opportunities it gives us to spend time with each other. Here's to another 2 months of warm weather! (I hope :)

WHEW! You had quite alot to catch up on! I hadn't heard the story about the owl at the zoo. That's crazy/funny.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB!!!
A great big WOW on that cake! Nice job. Henry would die over such a thing. He's getting store bought cupcakes this year. Sorry little buddy. Next year I hope to not be on crutches during his birthday. :)
